about me
My name is Grace Clark and I am an illustrator from Pennsylvania. I focus on creating whimsical watercolor illustrations that feature subjects of animals and nature, and I love adding a touch of humor to my work. I graduated from Arcadia University in May 2024 with a degree in illustration.
artist statement
I aim to capture feelings of childhood nostalgia and comfort in a playful manner through my work. The subjects I am most drawn to include sources of happiness for me, such as silly animals and cozy scenery. My goal is to create whimsical illustrations that both children and adults can find joy and warmth in. I want adult viewers of my work to feel a sense of nostalgia when they look at it, and I want my work to become that sentimental memory for the children who may view my illustrations.

As a completely traditional artist who uses watercolor as my main medium, I strive to capture a handmade look to my work. Personally, I love when a viewer can tell that a piece of art was made by a human hand, so I embrace any imperfections or quirks that might occur within a painting. Something about knowing that a person put time and effort into creating a work of art with their own hands is very comforting to me, so I want to give my viewers that same feeling of comfort with my work.
